Thinking Is Fun's Privacy Policy

AboutContact • Privacy Policy • Tell A Friend

Any personal information you might share with Thinking Is Fun is kept confidential. I'd like you to keep coming back and I'd like you to enjoy your experiences here. Giving away personal information about my visitors might jeopardize those two goals, so I just won't do it. Of course, if you purchase a game, personal information is required to complete the transaction, and its use is outlined below.

The Longer, Detailed Version

Anonymous information can not be used to identify a specific individual. Some information is collected each time a guest visits Thinking Is Fun, and may include the IP address, referral data, browser and platform type.

Thinking Is Fun has partnered with Reflexive Entertainment, Inc. ("Reflexive ®"), and uses Reflexive's GameCenterSolution (TM) platform to deliver the downloadable games found on Thinking Is Fun. Anonymous data is collected each time one of the downloadable games is used to access the Internet. GameCenterSolution collects this anonymous information for purposes of product monitoring, product improvement, and to aid future development decisions. This information may also be shared with advertisers and Reflexive's business partners on an aggregate non-personal basis. You do not have to register a product with Reflexive before they collect this anonymous information.

Personally identifiable information refers to data that specifically indicates who you are. Examples of this data would be your name and postal address, which may be collected in addition to the anonymous data described above. GameCenterSolution collects personal information when you purchase a game. The type of information that may be requested includes your name, address, telephone number, email address, and credit card information.

Information Sharing and Disclosure - Thinking Is Fun and Reflexive will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.

Reflexive may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:

  • They have your consent to share the information;
  • They need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested;
  • They are required to disclose any or all information to the extent necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws, subpoenas, court orders, legal process served on Reflexive or in legal proceedings where Reflexive believes such information is relevant or believes in good faith that its disclosure is required by law.

Unless you have agreed to receive occasional emails (such as a newsletter), any names and email addresses you give are NOT compiled into any type of mailing list, or otherwise used for any type of email solicitation.

Cookies - Thinking Is Fun or Reflexive may set and access their respective cookies on your computer. We do not allow other companies to access the cookies we set on your computer. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to Thinking Is Fun's or Reflexive's cookies.

External Links - This site contains links to other sites. Thinking Is Fun is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites.

Security - All online buy pages, and in-game transmissions of purchasing information including name, email, credit card number and expiration use industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions. If SSL is not present or cannot be accessed within the game the option to purchase the product within the game is not accessible.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while Reflexive does strive to protect your personal information, Reflexive cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to them or from their online products or services, and you do so at your own risk.

Some Fine Print

What the large print giveth, the fine print taketh away? No, not quite. However, as with all things in life, the policy may change at any time. Rest assured, if ever I encountered a situation where I had to share your personal information with anyone other than Reflexive, or future game publishers I trust, I'd most likely retire, while leaving the site running long enough to handle outstanding support queries.

Want to give your brain a workout, without even realizing it? No, not by studying, doing homework, or reading a dry textbook. Do it the fun way - play a video game. Try one of the downloadable puzzle games at Thinking Is Fun. Lots of variety, lots of fun and lots of headscratching.
